I want to start doing press-ups every day,but I have no fitness experience,any hints&tips for me?
Hopefully if I get at it now,I’ll have a rippling hot bod by next summer!
As you have no experience in fitness it is best to start out slowly building up gradually as u gain confidence and strength. Just a pointer just doing press ups isnt going to get u a ripped bod by the summer of 2010 because u would look out of proportion u need to work every body part to achieve a well balanced toned look. Start out by maxing out, by basically doing as many as you can to failure to see what you can do. Then start in sets, maybe 5 sets of 5-10 reps depending on what you can do, keep this up for a week unitl u gain confidence and strength then u will have the ability to add an extra couple of reps each week and within a month ull be doing 50-100 in no time. Technique is the key to success! =] Press ups work both the chest, triceps and the shoulders, so you can vary the width and positioning of your hands to target different muscle groups for example: a close grip targets the triceps more, a wider grip shoulder width and a half spacing works and stretches the chest making the key target the chest. There are other complex variations of the push ups but stick to the basics first. I would also suggest pull ups, crunches/Ab Workouts, one leg squats, dips which are key and vital body weight Exercises to build strength and muscle.
